BSP MlA from Bulandshahr Haji Aleem Choudhary was on Thursday questioned by the Delhi Police in connection with his wife’s murder. Haji, who was in Jeddah for Haj, returned late on Wednesday after being called by the police.
Nearly one-and-half month ago, Rihana Chaoudhary, who was brutally murdered on Wednesday night at her residence, had filed a complaint with the women’s cell in Krishna Nagar against her husband for domestic violence over property dispute.
Police on Thursday claimed that one of the accused knew the victim and robbery was not the motive behind the murder. The police allowed Haji to return to Bulandshahr with his first wife for the funeral of Rihana.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Beniwal, the Joint Commissioner of Eastern range, said that the MlA has agreed to provide help in the investigations.
