Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s relative was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) in connection with the PWD scam on Thursday, ACB chief Arvind Deep said.
Vinay Bansal, son of Kejriwal’s brother-in-law late Surender Bansal, was produced before the court and sent to judicial custody for one day.
He will be produced before the court on Friday.
The ACB had registered three FIRs on May 9, 2017 in which it had named a company run by Surender. Also, included in the FIRs were three other companies, including Renu Constructions (owned by Surender, Kamal Singh and Pawan Kumar).
