Rupee's free fall and Jindal Steel's stock crash by 24 per cent on Tuesday pulled Sensex down 298 points to close at a nearly two-month low at 19,143. Tracking rupee, Sensex dropped by 320 points and Nifty breached 5,800-level at noon on panic selling as consumer durables, metal, realty and banking sectors suffered the most.
