Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao offered a gold crown worth Rs3.7 crore to goddess Bhadrakali for the fulfilment of his desire for a separate State.
The 11.7 kg crown manufactured by GRT Jewellers was presented to the deity in the presence of the temple executive officer Katta Anjani Devi and main priest Bhadrakali Sheshu. Earlier, the gold ornament was examined by the temple gold ornaments
verification officer. Before presenting the crown, KCR’s wife Vijaya offered prayers in the temple. After the offering, KCR also prayed at the historic temple with his wife, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari, Parliament members A Seetaram Naik and P Dayakar, and legislators D Vinaya Bhaskar and Konda Surekha.
