Every cloud has a silver lining for Delhi

The developing Western Disturbances have brought a chill in the air in the national Capital, which is likely to receive moderate rain on Monday. The city witnessed traces of rain on Sunday bringing down the maximum temperature by two notches below normal at 30.1 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was 20.3 degrees Celsius. Though the unseasonal rain is likely to affect standing crops around the north India, a surprising cold spell during the summer is always welcomed by Delhiites. Delhi has recorded the wettest March so far.

The Met department has predicted mist on Monday morning, which is likely to be followed by a downpour across Delhi and NCR. “The effect of the Western Disturbances will be maximum on Monday, while clouds are expected to clear by Tuesday,” said officials.

The maximum temperature on Monday is likely to settle at 27 degrees Celsius, while minimum may go down to 18 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels on Sunday oscillated between 80 per cent and 43 per cent. Saturday’s maximum was recorded at 36.1 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season’s average.
