The Delhi Police has classified the entire North-East district booths as sensitive and hypersensitive. Out of total 126 booths in the district, 33 booths have been termed as hypersensitive, while the rest 93 as sensitive. This has necessitated a review of security in the district as it share borders with Ghaziabad.
A security audit by the Delhi Police has put 501 polling booths in Delhi in sensitive category while 133 booths have been categorised as hypersensitive ones. The number of sensitive and hypersensitive booths has gone up this year.
East district has 65 sensitive booths and 17 hyper sensitive booths, North-West has 54 sensitive and 14 hypersensitive, Central has 71 sensitive and 9 hyper sensitive.
