A city realtor Jitendra Tomar, who had gone missing under mysterious circumstances in Ghaziabad on Monday, was found murdered by his own son over property issues, police said on Friday. Jitendra Tomar ran a realty firm and lived alone in his RDC-13 residence. His wife and their son were living in his agricultural farm and orchard in Kheri Karmu village in Shamli.

Police said the case was cracked after they scanned footage of CCTV camera installed in the drawing room. The footage allegedly showed that around 9.30 pm on Monday his wife Malti Tomar and son Amit Tomar barged into the house.

Although the accused had removed two CCTV cameras installed at the main entrance, they could not notice other camera installed in the drawing room, said police. Based on the footage, police arrested Amit. During interrogation, Amit confessed to his crime and led police to the spot in Uttarakhand, where Tomar’s body was dumped, police said.

A team of police officers has been sent to recover the body from Narendra Nagar near Rishikesh in Uttarakhand, said Ashok Sishodia, the Inspector of Kavi Nagar Police station. Amit also told police Tomar had disinherited him from family property.

Jitendra Tomar was reported missing since Monday by his driver Brahma Pal on Wednesday. Pal had lodged the missing report after he failed to elicit any response from the house for two days and later noticed the CCTV installed at the gate was missing. He found the main gate as well as other rooms of the house ajar. He then reported the matter to the Kavi Nagar police station.
