Putting more emphasis on technology and IT vision in line with PM Modi’s Digital India Initiative, the railways will set up an innovation council ‘Kayakalp’ for the purpose of business re-engineering and introducing innovation in railways.
Besides a technology portal to invite innovative technological solutions, the railways announced to upgrade technology interface with consumers, including online information of latest berth availability on running trains, and a mobile application for stations navigation.
