The Delhi airport has a storage capacity of 2.7 million vials of Covid-19 vaccine at any given point of time, said a top official of its operator on Tuesday.
Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, the CEO of Delhi International Airport Limited, said the vaccine distribution programme, which is likely to begin from January, has been named “Project Sanjivani” by the airport operator. Jaipuriar said Pfizer vaccine has to be kept at minus 70 degrees Celsius and therefore the Delhi airport does not have any storage facility for that vaccine.
