The woman complainant in the gangrape case against former Minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati has accused the investigation officer of the case and three other unidentified persons of kidnapping her daughter, who was also a victim in the case.

In her complaint at Karvi police station of Chitrakoot, the woman alleged that her daughter, who along with her elder sister left for outing on March 31, was kidnapped by Circle Officer Alambagh (in lucknow) Amita Singh and three other persons in police uniform. She further alleged that the CO and other policemen presented her daughter before a magistrate and got her statement recorded. “They forced my daughter to sign on a blank paper amid police presence,” she alleged.

However, DIG Chaitrkoot Range Gyaneshawar Tiwari said he had no information of the kidnapping of the girl. “The lucknow police were investigating the case and they had taken the girl along with them to get her statement recorded,” he said.

On March 15, 2017 after the new Government took charge in UP, the lucknow police laid its hand on the absconding Minister accused in a gang-rape case.

Gayatri, however, had denied the charges levelled on him and said he did not know the woman. He said he never gave any mining lease to the woman though he admitted that the woman used to visit his Gautampalli located official residence. He had demanded Narco test on the woman while he volunteered to go for a Narco test to prove his innocence.

Police then had said the woman had denied medical test but had got her statement recorded before a Magistrate under Section 164 of CrPC after constantly pursuing her.

Prajapati was booked on Supreme Court’s directive and subsequently an FIR was lodged on February 17 at Gautampalli police station against the Minister and six others his aides for alleged gang-raping a woman and alleged attempt to rape her minor daughter.

The apex court had asked the UP police to submit an action taken report regarding the incidents in eight weeks in a sealed cover.

With his arrest, all the seven accused in the case had been arrested. The woman had alleged that she had met Gayatri in connection with a mining related ‘deal’ at his official residence in Gautampalli.

The woman had alleged that the Minister also had an evil eye on her daughter and he and his men had attempted to rape her also. She had stated that the Minister and his men had committed the act on the day a birthday function was being celebrated at Minister’s house.
