The BJP will hold its much delayed National Executive meeting on Sunday here. The meeting will begin with the inaugural address by the party president JP Nadda and, among other things, deliberate the “winning strategy” for the upcoming Assembly elections in five States, including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to deliver the concluding address.
At the conclusion of the National Executive meeting, the BJP will pass a political resolution drawing focus on the Modi-Government’s “achievements” in domestic and international arena and its success in fighting pandemic.
There will not be any economic resolution adopted this time in the meeting.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal among others will attend the meeting.
The meeting would witness exhibitions on the Central Government’s “all-round efforts” to mitigate people’s suffering during Covid and focus on the “milestone” of over 100 crore vaccination across the country, according to BJP general secretary Arun Singh.
Addressing a Press conference, Singh said deliberations will be held on the preparations and campaign strategy for the Assembly polls in UP, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur. The party leaders in the poll-bound States will stay put in their respective places and connect with the meet virtually, he said.
The meeting will take place in “hybrid” form, with some attendees to be present physically, while others will attend virtually.
