Anti-constitutional cult: Rahul Gandhi hits out at RSS

Pioneer News Service

Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday attacked the RSS, alleging that it is an all-male “anti-constitutional cult” that believes women are the property of men. The former Congress chief also said he believes in Shiva-Shakti and that’s why it gives him such joy to fight the RSS.

“The RSS is an all-male anti-constitutional cult that believes women are the property of men. I believe in Shiva-Shakti,” Rahul Gandhi posted on X.

“That’s why it gives me such joy to fight them. What’s beautiful is that many of their ‘own’ women are on my side,” the post added. His remarks came on the foundation day of the RSS. He is currently on a private trip to Vietnam

The BJP raked up the issue of Rahul Gandhi’s frequent foreign trips, attacking him for allegedly leaving on another trip in the midst of the Opposition’s protest and the festival of Dussehra.

Posting an in-plane video which purportedly showed Rahul Gandhi on a flight to Vietnam, the ruling party took potshots at the leader, saying he seems to be too tired of the protests and has gone away on a break.

“Look, Rahul Gandhi does this every time. After undertaking a yatra in Bihar, he went abroad on holiday for two months. Perhaps he went to Vietnam then, and maybe he has gone to Vietnam again this time,” BJP spokesperson RP Singh said, adding that the leader should have been in the country as we celebrate Dussehra.

Hitting back at the BJP on the issue, the Congress said that the BJP makes an unnecessary issue out of the LoP’s foreign trips.
