Staff Reporter

Amid preparations ahead of the swearing-in ceremony on Saturday, senior leader Manish Sisodia on Friday assured that they will be looking into all cases of corruption, including those on ex-Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and industrialist Mukesh Ambani. The Deputy Chief Minister-designate told agencies in an interview that all the cases registered during the 49-day Kejriwal Government “will be pursued”. Sisodia, who had been asked whether the FIRs lodged by the AAP Government last year against Mukesh Ambani, then Petroleum Minister M Veerappa Moily and then Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit would be pursued, he responded with a “yes, definitely.”

During his brief stint  as the then Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal had ordered filing of an FIR on February 11 last year against Moily, his predecessor (late) Murli Deora and RIl chief Mukesh Ambani for alleged collusion in hike of prices in natural gas from the KG basin. The then AAP Government had also ordered a probe into streetlight purchase scam during the Commonwealth Games of 2010 in which Dikshit’s role had come under the scanner.
