As part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s public outreach programme ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the ‘Bharat ke Mann ki Baat’ campaign in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, saying that people’s voice would be incorporated while making the election manifesto.

While reiterating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the only “saviour of the poor people” in the country, Yogi Adityanath said: “When the corrupt politicians are trying to create internal disturbances in the country, Modi is standing tough against these evil forces.”

The Chief Minister said five years back, corruption was the lifestyle of the country but now this menace had been cleaned to some extent as the welfare schemes were being implemented in honest way and people were getting their rights.

“By this programme, the BJP will seek suggestion and advice from the people from every nook and corner to make them partners in the future five years of the nation,” he said.

Launching the campaign at the BJP state office here in presence of Union Health Minister JP Nadda and party vice-president Dushyant Kumar Gautam, Yogi Adityanath said the BJP had always worked with the support of the people and this campaign would increase their participation in governance.

“The welfare schemes of the Centre as well as the UP government have given a boost to the development of the country,” the Chief Minister said.

Nadda, in his address, claimed that  Ayushman Bharat health scheme launched by the Centre had been appreciated world-wide and the Modi government had given social security to the poor of the country by giving free LPG and power connections.

The Chief Minister launched the ‘Bharat ke Mann ki Baat’ by flagging off video vehicles which will go all over the state and collect the views of people.

The vans will have small boxes in which people can drop their suggestions. The suggestions will be used by the party in drafting its election manifesto.

The vans will also have a video display to highlight the achievements of the Narendra Modi government and its schemes.
