Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday made an indirect attack on senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan saying that a leader was trying to prove supremacy in Rampur but now his government would not allow him to do so.
Yogi was addressing a gathering at a function organised to distribute tricycle among handicapped in Rampur district on Saturday.
“One leader is trying to prove his supremacy in Rampur. But now even state minister Sardar Baldev Singh Akakh is enough to take on him in Rampur,” asserted Yogi while targeting Azam Khan.
Without taking Khan’s name, Yogi hit out at the former minister in Akhilesh Yadav government over ‘hooliganism’ prevailing in the city. He alleged that the worst type of hooliganism existed in the city as shops and houses of people were demolished ‘mercilessly’.
Yogi also hit out at the previous government alleging that on the pretext of constructing a jail, it had planned to displace 250 families from a colony. The Chief Minister termed the act as anarchy and said that as long as the BJP was in power, such incidents would not occur.
Yogi further said that the BJP government has been in power in the state for ten months and achieved development goals which were not achieved by former BSP and SP dispensations during their long tenures.
The CM also attacked the Congress, SP and BSP for exploiting and dividing voters through caste politics and appeasement to suit their needs. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given a clear message against appeasement. He enumerated several welfare schemes of the government like enhancement of pension for handicapped from Rs 300 to 500.
Expressing concern over problems faced by the handicapped, Yogi said that in his regime, the handicapped would also see and move as his government would bring them in the mainstream.
“History has examples that if the head of the state was capable , then any handicapped could easily be made capable and this is what my government wanted to show by organising camps for the disabled in Rampur,” asserted Yogi referring to step-motherly treatment meted out to the community by the previous state governments.
Assuring jobs to youths, Yogi said that now corruption will have no place in appointments and everyone would be given equal oppurtunity.
Rs Rs During previous governments, not only corruption but jobs were given after seeing the caste or religion. But now, my government will check all this and give equal opportunity to everyone,” said Yogi, adding that his government would soon give 1.68 lakh jobs in Police department and 1.65 lakh jobs in Education department.
The CM said that those who played with the careers of youth would be not spared as his government was probing all recruitments made during previous regimes and culprits would be brought to book soon.
Yogi asserted claimed that his government would do justice to everyone particularly farmers, who will for the first time since independence, get a minimum support price which was at least 50 percent more than the production cost of crop.
