Expecting an investment of Rs 4.28 lakh crore Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the BJP government will generate over 40 lakh jobs in next three years which will help UP to shed the tag of BIMARU state.

“The Investors’ meet is set to redefine the image of the Uttar Pradesh. We will not only be able to invite new investments in various sectors which in turn will generate new employment opportunities. In next three years the state will generate over 40 lakh jobs,” Yogi said during the two-day Investors’ Meet which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Wednesday.

He said that last week the BJP government had tabled a budget of Rs 4.28 lakh crore and this a heartening to know that through this investment meet we will be able to invite investment of Rs 4.28 lakh crore as Government has signed 1045 MoUs with different industrial houses.

“I want to make sure that every MoU signed here would be followed in true letter and spirit. I will monitor the progress of investments myself and ensure that the promises are fulfilled,” Chief Minister said.

It is probably the highest investment projected by Governments in any  investment meet held so far.  In the last Investment Meet organised by Samajwadi party Government in Mumbai the then SP Government was able to clobber Rs 65000 crore investments but just a portion of it actually was implemented.

This time, the Yogi government might make the mark because captains of different industrial houses like Reliance, Adani Group, Mahindra and Mahindra, Aditya Birla Groups and other assured investment in UP. Gautam Adani took the lead announcing Rs 35,000 crore investments in next five years followed by Mukesh Ambani Rs 10,000 crore and he also assured 1 lakh jobs in UP.

“The confidence among investors is palpable because we are able to provide investment friendly atmosphere. There is improvement in law and order besides we are committed to providing the best infrastructure facilities in the state. WE are working to take metro rail to other cities like Varanasi, Jhansi, Meerut and Kanpur,” he said.

“The turning point of the economy would be the One District One Product project which not only will help provide a market for the local products but also provide employment at the village level,” Chief Minister said.

Stressing importance of making UP strong he said if India wants to grow Uttar Pradesh has to grow because of state’s geographical position. The West dedicated freight corridor meets east dedicated freight corridor in UP. This gives UP a vast potential to grow.

“Then, we are building two Expressways – the Poorvanchal Expressway and Bundelkhand Expressway – which will also change the destiny of UP,” CM said.
