Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav took serious cognizance of use of social sites to disturb communal harmony, particularly after the incident in Agraon Thursday. Yadav directed state police chief, Jagmohan Yadav to provide a `platform’ through which anyone could pass on information of such mischief and later necessary action could be taken.
Interestingly, minutes after chief minister’s concern, DGP office which is sleeping so far, had issued number (9454401002)through an official communiqué. According to communiqué, anyone who had information of someone uploading objectionable message of social networking sites, he must immediately inform it on above given Whatsapp number. The release mentioned that the senders name would be kept confidential and immediate action should be taken to take necessary measures.
