Buckling under pressure the sitting MP from lucknow lalji Tandon said that he would abide by the orders of party high command and would work as a soldier for party national president Rajnath Singh, who is in fray from state capital.
"I accept the decision of the party with dignity and will not contest from anywhere else. Instead I will work to ensure victory of Singh with record margin,'' he told The Pioneer here on Sunday.
Earlier Tandon had protested the party's decision to field Rajnath Singh from lucknow and even said that he will only leave the seat for Narendra Modi and no one else. He even said that no one had spoken to me regarding this change.
But now Tandon was a mellowed man. He claimed that he is not annoyed with the party's decision and would fully support Rajnath during his campaign in the constituency which will start just after the Holi.
''I will do whatever is required to ensure victory for the party president in lucknow,'' he said. When asked about stand a few days back he quipped philosophically: "The word is changing so is the world order. WE have to move ahead with this change."
