Tension prevailed in Shamsabad locality of Agra when the members of two communities came on road and fought pitch battle over uploading some objectionable comments on social network site, on Thursday afternoon.
The situation could be only defused after about two hours when senior police officers including Deputy Inspector General of Agra Range, laxmi Singh, reached the spot and had summoned heavy police force. She also assured to get the matter lodged and initiate legal proceedings against the culprits. Heavy police force remained positioned in the trouble prone areas to avert fresh clash.
Reports said that some objectionable comments on a religious guru of one of the religion has been uploaded on RsWhatsapp’ by a resident of Shamsabad in Agra. The matter took an ugly turn when half a dozen youths of the other community nabbed the sender and brutally assaulted him on Thursday afternoon. The situation further turned violent when the members of other community also arrived as scene of crime and soon both sides started pelting stones and even fired in air. local police which get the information immediately tipped off their senior after which heavy force reached the spot and chased away the miscreants.
Meanwhile in Kannauj also, similar tension prevailed when a youth hailing from Subashnagar area of Gursahaiganj, uploaded some objectionable comments on his facebook account. This irked the other community who closed their business establishments and came on road demanding action against the sender on Thursday morning. luckily senior officers reached in time and taken complaint after assuring of stern action in the matter. Force has been also deployed in the area to avert any clash.
