The party spokesmen of Bharatiya Janata Party were taught the nitty-gritty of tackling media and were asked to use social media to propagate party’s policies and principles among the masses.

"Because of the advent of social media journalism has changed. Become technology savvy and use social media like Facebook, twitter and You tube to put across party’s ideology," Party’s state president Dr laxmi Kant Bajpai told spokesman drawn from different parts of the state here on Thursday.

He said the forthcoming lok Sabha election is very crucial for the party as Uttar Pradesh holds the keys to BJP’s success. "The party can succeed only if we are able to convey our message and answer the charges of other parties. Use all the platforms available under your belt to propagate party’s ideology," Dr Bajpai said.

Uttar Pradesh has 80 seats in lok Sabha and BJP is eyeing to win at least half of them.

This is the follow-up meeting of party spokesman as last month a national level meeting was held in New Delhi in which media- incharge were told about use of social media to blunt other parties charges.
