After the culmination of Rahul Gandhi's 'Deoria to Dilli Kisan Yatra' in New Delhi on Thursday, the UP Congress Committtee (UPCC) has launched a fortnight-long `Rahul Sandesh Yatra’ in all 75 districts of the state.
Congress leaders will conduct door to door campaign to spread awareness about Rahul’s stress on facilitating farmers with all help so that they continue with farming instead to taking other means of livelihood.
The Yatra will begin simultaneously in all 75 districts from October 13 and conclude on October 27. The Sandesh Yatra was symbolically flagged off from the Mall Avenue office by AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad and state chief Raj Babbar on Friday morning.
later speaking to media persons, Azad said that this Yatra will spread the message of issues raised by Rahul during his 26 days long Kisan Yatra in UP. "All district chiefs will distribute pamphlets to villagers and make them aware of Rahul Gandhi's assurances for their betterment and welfare schemes. They have also been asked to spend equal time in all Assembly segments of a district," said Azad.
The Congress general secretary said that party leaders and workers will cover the entire district and tell people about Congress’ promises made of getting loans waived off, halving their power bills and raising Minimum Support Price (MSP) of their produce.
