UPCC criticised Radha Shyam Singh and demands immediate arrest

PNS

Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) strongly criticised open abuses on government officials hurled by state minister Radha Shyam Singh and demanded his immediate arrest in the matter besides sacking him from the post.

``It seems that that there is no law for the Samajwadi Party leaders and ministers hence they openly used muscle power, threatened and abuse the government officials just after anyone dared to refuse to dance to their diktats”, asserted Amarnath Agarwal, senior spokesman of the UPCC media cell. Reacting to Singh’s statement here on Monday afternoon, Agarwal said that this is not the first case but a series of ministers or those enjoying minister’s status in Akhilesh’s ministry had taken law in their hand resulting into `Jungle Raj’ in the state.

Agarwal also criticises chief minister for adopting double standard. ``Why SP leaders were at the maximum removed from the post and no further action has been taken against them for issuing threats to government officials or abusing them”, questioned Amarnath while pointing that Dayashankar Singh was arrested for using derogatory language against Mayawati but when it comes to SP leader who on record hurled abuses and gave life threats, not even a case has been registered against them. ``All this pointed that the criminals were ruling this state under the patronage of Akhilesh Yadav”, he added.

Agarwal said that if Akhilesh wanted to give a strong signal that he was also tough against excesses of SP leaders and not just others than he must not wait for a moment and get a case registered against Radhe Shyam Singh and got him arrested in the matter.

Meanwhile IPS officer Amitabh Thakur has also demanded registration of FIR in open abuses made on phone to Apar Mukhya Adhikari, Jila Panchayat, Kushninagar by State minister Radhe Shyam Singh. ``It is truly painful that there has been no action in the case despite open abuses to a public servant and the matter being in the knowledge of every one right from Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to the district SP”, asserted Amitabh.

IPS officer said that he has personally faced such a situation and fully understands the anguish and pain accompanied with it and has sought an immediate FIR to be registered, instead of wasting time in the name of enquiry. He also sought providing adequate security to the officer.
