The policy enforced in Bundelkhand region will not be applicable in Purvanchal," he added.
The official pointed out that the policy was being formulated keeping water, land and air of the particular region in mind. "The policy will be transparent and will help farmers to get a better return. Hence, scientists and agricultural experts were being consulted. The new policy will be launched very soon," Kumar said.
The SP government has been harping on providing better quality seeds and fertilisers to farmers. Directives have been issued to officials to ensure there is no paucity in this regard. The policy will be an extension of this directive of the Chief Minister.
