This was informed by government spokesperson and Health Minister Sidharthnath Singh in Lucknow on Monday. "We will request that at least one person from each village in the country should attend the Kumbh Mela. If the gram pradhan attends the mela, it would be better,” he said.

Gujarat. Other ministers assigned the task include Suresh Kumar Khanna, who will be visiting Maharashtra, Sidharnathnath Singh Karnataka, Srikant Sharma Rajasthan, Rajesh Agarwal Haryana and Satish Mahana Telengana and Andhra Pradesh. Singh said that he would leave for Karnataka on December 26.
