UP Madhusudan Mistri says that party has not lose confidence after losing polls

Biswajeet, PNS

Putting up a brave front post lok Sabha debacle AICC General Secretary and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Madhusudan Mistri said that party has not lost confidence after losing polls as victory and loss are two sides of the same coin.

Mistri said in democracy there is always ups and downs.’ ”We lost the lok Sabha elections after 10 years. Probably we were not able to convince the people about our Government’s achievements and for that people punished us. The party is confidant that it will bounce back with vengeance,” he told reporters here on Sunday.

“We are political activists and defeat is the part of our life. But we will never deter from our target and lose confidence. So what if people rejected us this time. They now are realising that they have made a mistake by electing BJP. WE have only to focus on the faulty policies of the NDA Government and we will succeed next time,” he said.

He also denied that Party vice president Rahul Gandhi is a ‘reluctant’ leader and there is no question mark over his leadership quality. “Rahul Gandhi is our leader and every worker loves him. He will lead our next election campaign,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mr Mistri blamed both the BJP government at the Centre and Samajwadi Party government in UP of failing to end the miseries of the people. People are suffering because of the mis-rule of both the Governments

“If Centre has failed to arrest the price rise of essential commodities, the UP government is unable to control crime in the state. Development in Uttar Pradesh has come to a naught and people are suffering but Akhilesh Government is not bothered about them, he said.
