Union Cabinet Minster for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Kalraj Mishra said that in order to provide employment to the youth the Union Government is running various training Programmes to hone up their skills so that they can get employment at their door steps.
“Many private companies have been roped in to impart training. One of them is Samsung which has opened 10 ‘Kaushal Vikas Kendra’ (Skill development centres) across the country. This number would increase to 100 in coming days,” he told reporters here on Tuesday. Mishra said that dialogues are also on with other companies to establish these types of centers. The aim of these kendras is to impart skill training to the educated youth. In many cases we ask the companies to absorb these trained youth and other cases we help them to set up their business, the minister said.
A ‘Job Dialogue’ scheme has also been started for the students who have got professional degrees like B.Tech and MBA. Under this scheme educated youth looking for job will be registered by giving a missed call on a ‘toll-free’ number. They will get a call to submit their CVs and will be provided job when an opportunity arises, he said. In Hyderabad more than 2000 candidates from the 14,000 participated in the Job Dialogue camp organized by the MSME department.
“We are committed to give jobs to all the trained and educated people. We want people should get job near their homes so that the mad flight towards cities could be stopped,” he said
