An advocate was bludgeoned to death over an old enmity in Jaunpur district on Sunday morning.The victim, Jitendra Yadav (32) lived with his family at Samdhipur village under Shahganj police station area. He had a dispute with his blood relatives Omkar Yadav and Shiv Prakash Yadav, both of same village, over laying a water pipe. Around 9 am on Sunday, both the groups came face to face.
After a verbal spat, the opponents attacked with sticks and sharp edged weapons on victim and his family consisting of his wife and sister. In the attack, victim suffered serious injuries at his dead and he died during the treatment at the hospital. The other injured are admitted to the hospital. The police registered a named FIR in this connection and started the investigation of the case. No arrest had been made in this connection so far.Killed
A 55-year-old man was found murdered with his body was lying on the roof of a temple in Haldi police station area of Balia district on Sundaymorning. The victim identified as Uma Shanker used to stay at the temple for a long period of time. The police said the victim had head injuries seemingly caused by some heavy and blunt object. The police sent the body for the post-mortem examination and further investigation in the case are on.
