In a sensational incident reported from Maharajganj, two minor boys killed a 6-year-old girl while making rape attempt.
The accused killed the victim as she raised an alarm. Both later also pour acid over the girl’s face to conceal her identity.
Police registered a case and arrested the accused.
Reports said that a 6-year-old girl had gone to buy noodles in a village under Sinduria police station of Maharajganj district on Thursday evening. When she was returning home, two local boys intercepted and lured her and took her to a deserted house. They both tried to rape the victim. After the girl screamed, one of the two boys strangled her while the other banged her head against the wall. The girl died on the spot.
When the girl did not return home, the family launched a search for her and also informed police.
Superintendent of Police Dr Kaustubh said that after the dead body of the missing girl was found, police reached the spot with sniffer dogs to investigate the matter. He claimed that the dogs repeatedly went to the house of two local boys -- one 15-year-old and other 17-year-old -- so the police picked them up and grilled them after which they both confessed to killing the girl.
Meanwhile, an 11-year-old boy tried to rape a nine-month-old girl, injuring her critically. After she was injured, the accused left the injured girl in front of her house after which she was rushed to hospital where her condition is stated to be critical..
The incident took place in Rorawar police station area of Aligarh.
Reports said that a student of madrasa took the girl from her house to play with her on Wednesday night. After an hour, he left the critically wounded girl in front of her house.
The police shifted the girl to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital where the doctors confirmed rape attempt.
The madrasa student was arrested and produced in the court which sent him to Agra child reform home on Friday.
