Senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party and former parliamentarian Naresh Agarwal said the people of this country would never give respect to those who love Mohd Ali Jinnah.

“This country belongs to Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel. Those who eulogize Mohd Ali Jinnah should go to Pakistan,” Agarwal said while addressing reporters here on Friday.

He declared that a Vaish Mahasammelan would be held in Lucknow on November 14 in which many leaders like Union Minister Piyush Goyal, BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh, BJP state general secretary (organisation) Sunil Bansal would be present.

“The BJP is holding a conference of all communities. As the Vaish community was neglected we have decided to organise a state-level Vaish conference,” he said.

In response to a question regarding the 2022 assembly elections, Agarwal said that the BJP would have no contest in this election. He said the entire Vaish community was standing firmly with the BJP.  He said even though the traders may be upset due to the goods and services tax (GST) and note ‘bandi’ (demonetisation), everyone was with Narendra Modi on the issue of national interest.

“Traders in the country comprise 12 per cent of the population. We oppose online trade and the Vaish community is in support of traders regarding this demand,” he said.
