Suspended IPS officer Amitabh finally filed a petition in the lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court, seeking copy of the Open enquiry report made against him by sleuths of Vigilance Establishment.
The officers failed to get a copy even after making several attempts. In his petition filed with the HC on Monday, Amitabh claimed that he got an opportunity to go
through to the Open enquiry report during which he learnt that there are so many apparent errors in the report that he wanted to approach the High Court for getting the FIR registered against him in Disproportionate assets case, quashed at the preliminary level itself, for which he needs a copy of the enquiry report. Thakur said that he sought a copy of the enquiry report from the Chief Secretary which has been refused so far, after which this petition has been filed
Meanwhile Thakur’s petition challenging the Yash Bharati awards before the lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court would be heard on Tuesday before the bench of Justice A P Sahi and Justice A R Masudi. The petition says the way 22 names were initially chosen surreptitiously and 12 more names were added twice at the last moment, making it a list of 46, clearly shows that the awards are being given arbitrarily. He said giving this award to Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan’s wife Surabhi Ranjan is directly against the principle of natural justice and wipes away their credibility, and has prayed for cancelling of the awards and giving them through a fair and transparent procedure.
