Communal tension is prevailing in Tanda town of Ambedkarnagar district after the brutal murder a local leader of a Hindu outfit, Ram Mohan Gupta.
Gupta, a medicine trader was laos nephew of the slain hindu yuva vahini district president Ram Babu Gupta on Wednesday.
the police has lodged FIR against the local SP MlA, Azimul Haque and three other accused Irfan Sahid and Rehman under section 3o2 and 120 b of IPC . Faizabad DIG BD Palson and divisional commissioner Sanjay Prasad and other senior officers are camping in Tanda town to control the situation and the town has been sealed . On the other hand the BJP state president luxmi kant Bajpai is also camping in Akbarpur and demanding the immediate arrest of the SP, MlA Azimul Haque .he has threatened the state government that if the MlA was not arrested within five days the BJP would start a statewide agitation which would start from Tanda . Meanwhile elaborate security arrangements have been made in Ambedkarnagar with heavy deployment of security forces at sensitive places .
Senior journalist Ajit Singh told the Pioneer that the dead body of the victim was still not cremated and was placed on road in protest . The shutters of markets were kept down in the whole market their and call had been given for Ambedkarnagar band on Friday . This may be recalled that the Tanda MlA Azimul Haque Pahalwan was also named in the Babu ram gupta murder case along with the Sahid and Rehman and pahalwan had forcibly released Sahid from police custody at the time of Babu Ram’s murder .
The spokesman of the district administration Ambedkarnagar has said that theTown was facing tense situation but the situation was under control . Besides , the fire brand Hindu leader Dr Ram vilas Vedanti was stopped when he was on the way to Tanda from Basti .
