The talk between the State goverment employees and State government stayed inconclusive, however the employees had ageed to restore the emergency services from Thursday, November 21.

The two hours talk betwen between Principal Secretary Appointment and Personnel Rajeev Kumar and Rajya Karmchari Adhikar Manch (RKAM) five member deligation including the head Harikishor Tiwari and Ajay Singh, failed and another meeting has been proposed within two days.

"The meeting was inconclusive, though considering the request of the state government, we will restore the emergency services from tomorrow onwards. However all 17 lack employees would continue the strike. The emergency services had been restored keeping the public interest in mind, as people at government's hospitals were troubled" said Harikishor Tiwari. The effect of the indefinite strike of the state government continues on the ninth day, as the veterinary staff joined the strike on Wednesday, November 20.

Evident from the vacant OPD's of the government hospitals and deserted offices, which are used as venue for general meetings, leaders of the umbrella union, Rajya Karmchari Adhikar Manch (RKAM) said that they are ready to talk to the government's representative, who are actually authorised to provide them a solution.

"When it comes to talk, the government never provided us a representative who could give us a solution, they instead send a messenger. How would we know if our issues are reaching to the Chief Minister. The meetings in the past had failed because the representatives of the government only assured that they will put our demands in front of the Chief Minister. This is not what we are asking for, we want the solution" said Sanjeev Gupta, senior member of RKAM.

The impact of strikes, despite clarification of the state government, had already hit the medical services as no blood test or similar work were carried out at Balrampur Hospital OPD and trauma centre with lab technicians and  physiotherapists on strike. In the similar trend, Shiksha Bhawan at City Station, Commercial Tax Nideshalaya, Agriculture and Horticulture Directorate and others remained closed.

The employees instead held meetings outside their respective offices, meanwhile the workers of Electricity department, under the banner of Vidhut Karmchari Sanyukt Sangharsh Samiti, extended their support to the strike and threatened to join the strike if issues were not resolved.

Addressing the employees at a general meeting organised at District Institute of Education and Training, lucknow, RKAM leaders quoting the example of Uttarakhand state government said that despite being under the impact of natural disaster, the govt. of Uttarakhand understood and resolved the issues of their employees.

"Despite being under the impact of Natural calamity, the government of Uttarakhand successfully resolved the issues of long held promotions and grade pay of their employees. Why cant our government do so" said Ajay Singh, the presidential committee member of RKAM.
