After brutal rape and killing of a school girl in lucknow, now series of similar attacks on the members of fairer sex gave fresh ammunition to the Opposition Parties to attack the Samajwadi Party government on law and order front. Interestingly, chief minister without reacting to opposition charges claimed that stern action will be taken against the guilty.

Taking on Samajwadi Party government for deteriorating law and order situation,

UP Congress spokesperson Maroof Khan questioned the governance of the Akhilesh Yadav government alleging that women are not safe in this regime. He also alleged that the ruling dispensation is “giving patronage” to people indulging in such incidents instead of taking action. “In different cases of serious crimes along with that related to communal riots, the SP government instead of taking action against those indulging in it, is giving patronage to such people, thereby boosting their morale,” Khan said while attacking the ruling Samajwadi Party government.

Khan alleged that the law and order has gone to its lowest ebb and charged both the BJP as well as the ruling Samajwadi Party of hands in glove for the crime in the state particularly related to communal riots. “The situation is UP is like Andher Nagri, aur Chaupat Raj”, he said while alleging that the recent spurt of crime including the gruesome murder of a school girl, pointed that government had failed on law and order front.

Meanwhile, UP BJP spokesperson Vijay Bahadur Pathak has claimed that the government has lost its control on the law and order when the criminals are doing what ever they like. “There is no rule of law in the state and anarchy prevails in UP in the Samajwadi Party rule,” he alleged. Earlier Mayawati had already taken SP government on law and order front and calling it `Jungle Raj’ she even handed over half a dozen memorandums to Governor so far, seeking implementation of Governor Rule in the State.
