PNS

With the state was rocked with another sensational kidnapping of a leading glass merchant in Ferozabad on Sunday, Special Task Force (STF) as well as the local police in Jhansi failed to make any breakthrough into another kidnapping of jewelers that rocked the district on July 12 last.

“Half a dozen teams were on the job to trace out the whereabouts of the two jewelers but so far they failed to get any success”, disclosed a senior police officer who is supervising the operation with the support of cops of STF. He said that the vehicle, on which the victims were kidnapped, reportedly had a registration plate of Madhya Pradesh so they had made a contact with their counterparts there and had sought their help in tracing out the gang. Sources said that the cops were also looking into the possible involvement of East UP gang lord in the kidnapping but so far they failed to get any evidence. Sources also maintained that the kidnappers were kept on changing their locations and the last ransom call was reportedly made from Rajasthan, hence STF teams left to trace out the kidnappers and rescue the victims.

It may be mentioned that Rajendra Kumar Agarwal aka Raju Kamriya, a native of Daru Bhandela area of Kotwali in Jhansi along with his friend, identified as Rahul Agarwal, went to play badminton in a bungalow situation just opposite to Mission Gate, on July 12 last. While Raju owned jewellery showroom along with electronic goods showroom and also in real estate business, Rahul owned only jewellery showroom. When Raju not returned home till the late night, his younger brother Ravi Kumar Agarwal, went to enquire it from Rahul. However, he found that all the five mobile numbers, three of Raju and two of Rahul, were switched off.

Suspecting foul play, Ravi went to search for the two and found the Scooty (UP93Al-4828) lying abandoned in front of Agarwal Steels Showroom along with footwear of Raju. When Ravi enquired the matter from Dalchandra, the chowkidar of Agarwal Steel Showroom, revealed that he saw some miscreants on a four-wheeler who pushed two of the occupants of Scooty and later huddled both in the car and kidnapped them.
