State employees condemns 7th pay commission pay report

PNS

UP state employees, teachers and pensioners have rejected the report of the seventh pay commission saying the report was not acceptable to them in the present form. The employees organised a protest meeting here on friday and burnt the effigy of the report.

Employees teachers coordination committee , an organisation of the state employees and teachers urged the state govewrnment to not to accept the seventh pay commission report.

lallan Pandey, the coordinator of the committee  accused the Union government of delaying the implermentation of the report under the cover of scrutiny of the report.

He said first the report was referred to the  committee of secretaries  for scrutiny followed by the similar excercise by the  cabinet secretary.  Despite this exercise the report wasaccepted by the  Union government without any amendment or improvement.

Employee leader  said the report is again expectedto be referred to a committee. He said employees have no trust in this kind of exercise by the Union government and they have lost hope that there will be any improvement in the recommendations of the report.

He said the report has benefitted only the officers  while the interest of the middle and the lower bureaucracy have been ignored.

The employee leader said deep resentment prevails among the state employees and teachers   over the contributory pension  scheme. He said this pension scheme has already been abolished in West Bengal, Tripura and Keral. He said the UP government has not decided over this matter despite assurance .
