PNS

State Congress seems to be finally gearing up for next Parliament elections when soon after call given by  minorities cell of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee that they will expose the Samajwadi Party agenda of using  them just as vote bank, now State president, Nirmal Khatri announced to hold party leaders meeting at divisional level  to chalk out poll agenda.

Interestingly, UPCC chief will also discuss the issues with zonal presidents who will attend meetings in their  respective divisions when speculations were already made that Rahul Gandhi was not happy with their working and  might dissolve their committees any time. Not only this, district presidents and other office bearers will also  participate in these meetings when Khatri had himself made a call of announcing a new committees by the end of

April, the time which already expired. With new announcement by Khatri of holding meeting, it seems that  now no announcement of his new committee will be also made even in this month. It may be also mentioned that if  he made any changes in the Committees will be made later on , the purpose of holding meeting by Khatri will be  automatically defeated.

Giving details of Nirmal Khatri’s decision to hold division-wise meetings in view of the nearing lok Sabha elections,  UPCC spokesman Virendra Madan said that here on Monday that the purpose of the meeting is to lay down  future political strategy and assess the prevailing situation. He said that Nirmal Khatri would head all the meetings to  be held at divisional headquarters between May 14 to May 26. On May 14, Khatri will attend the meet in Basti and  later in the day attend it in Gorakhpur.

Similarly, meets would be held in two shifts in Azamgarh and Varanasi on May 16 and in Mirzapur on May 17.  later, it would be organised in Faizabad and Gonda on May 19. The Congress leader would attend these division- wise meets in lucknow and Kanpur respectively on May 20 and May 26.  Related zoal presidents/vice-presidents,  district-city presidents, MPs/former MPs, MlAs/former MlAs, PCC member and former district/city Congress  president would participate in the meetings. Madan confirmed.

It may be mentioned here that on Sunday, Minority Cell chairman of UPCC, Maroof Khan, who hold a meeting of  all the office bearers in presence of Nirmal Khatri had called on that his activists would hold district-wise  meetings to expose the real face of Samajwadi Party particularly in using the members of his community as vote  bank. ``We will expose that how SP had made various promised to catch vote banks of minorities but not the truth  is before everyone that we are not even getting our dues dispatched for welfare of minorities by the Central  Government", claimed Maroof Khan citing misuse of scholarship, development, special loan schemes etc besides  how most of the post in organisations meant for welfare of the minorities are lying vacant.
