State Congress leaders condemned the move of Delhi police which visited the house of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi together some personal details. Accusing Central government for spying on the Congress Yuvraj, Party demanded apology for making an undemocratic move. ‘Action of Narendra Modi government against political opponent is not just an attack on freedom of any citizen of the country but a glaring example of how the Center was using police force to collect personal details of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi’, alleged State Congress president, Nirmal Khatri while flaying the Delhi police move and demanding action against the cops involved in the act.

“It is an irony that Modi wanted to make this country a Police State”, alleged Khatri adding that the Congress would oppose any such move of the Central Government. He criticised Central Government just before leaving for his home district Faizabad, here on Saturday morning. It may be mentioned that a Delhi police team visited the residence of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi to enquire about an incident in which some policemen had sought details of his appearance in a case of alleged profiling.

Meanwhile,  State Congress also criticised the State government which would complete three years of its rule on Sunday. “After Congress lost power in 1989, all subsequent governments had just looted public money and enjoyed the power, and this is what also reflects during the first three years of rule of Samajwadi Party government”, claimed spokesman of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee, Amarnath Agarwal, while reacting on the completion of three years rules of SP Government led by chief minister, Akhilesh Yadav. “law and Order situation has reached to it’s bottom, good governance is missing while criminals and anti-social elements were enjoying full freedom right under the nose of the government”, Agarwal added while accusing SP government for failing on all front.

Congress spokesman said that Akhilesh Yadav had cheated the youths in the name of giving them laptops, unemployment fund etc and had just lured the public to come into power. He further said that even the farmers got nothing in this government and recent calamity which destroyed their crops had only forced the farmers to commit suicide as they got no relief from the government. He claimed that the government only signed Memorandum of Understanding in the name of industrialization when the fact is that no big group was ready to enter Uttar Pradesh due to deteriorating law and order situation, poor quality of roads and power supply etc. In the name of giving good governance, Akhilesh Yadav was just engaged in frequent transfers of administrative officers and had done nothing to take them quality work, Agarwal said.
