“Officials should tour affected villages to ensure that no loss of life was reported in the flood. People and their cattle be moved to safer places at the earliest,” the minister said.

The minister was informed that Chief Engineer level officers have been assigned particular districts and they would stay put in flood affected district and send reports to the government on a daily basis.
