State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a unique campaign coined `Albela UP’ under which party workers have been asked to identify unique specialty of their respective regions which would be tagged in the Twitter handle of state president Dr Manhendra Nath Pandey.

“This is a unique campaign therefore will be called as `Albela’ in which unique characteristic of a region would be highlighted with hashtag (#) ‘AlbelaUP’. This could be anything from cuisine to tourist spot or from even a pond or a haveli,” Pandey said in a statement issued in lucknow on Wednesday.

The state BJP chief said that different regions of Uttar Pradesh were resplendent with various tourist spots but these are unknown to the people. “There are temples or forest ranges which people do not know. There are even ancient buildings which have heritage value.  Through this campaign we will try to bring these places to public knowledge,” he said.

Pandey said that pictures of these places will be uploaded and tagged in Twitter.

“Even party workers can do it. They only need to hashtag the pictures with #Albela UP. This campaign might improve tourism potential and can even generate employment for the local people,” he said.

Recently Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched ‘One District-One Project’ campaign under which speciality of a region would be highlighted.
