SP slams Maya

PNS

Terming the former chief minister Mayawati as "political illiterate", the ruling Samajwadi Party has slammed the opposition Bahujan Samaj Party for repeating the demand for the imposition of the Presidents rule in the state.

Samajwadi Party said BSP seems to be single agenda party as in last over four years it pursued its politics with the sole demand of imposition of the president rule in the state.

"Mayawati seems to have no idea of the constitution and the provisions for the imposition of the Presidents rule in a state. Though  she had been the chief minister of UP for the four times , she has not been  briefed about the Constitution and the provision  for the Presidents rule, otherwise she would not have said ad nauseam about the Central rule in  the state’’, said the Samajwadi Party Spokesman Rajendra Chowdhary here on Sunday.

SP spokesman, also the cabinet minister terming the demand of the BSP chief as `preposterous’Rajendra Chowdhary said `` law and under in UP is well under control and no trouble in any of the 75 districts of the state and the state is ruled by a party which enjoys majority on the floor of the state assembly so where is the question of President rule in the state arise at all’’.

Rejecting the BSP’s allegation that SP and the BJP were hand in glove the SP leader said "there is nothing new in her allegation  and its like pot calling the kettle black as Mayawati had herself been the chief minister of UP for three times with the support of the BJP".

SP leader said `` the old ties between the BSP and the BJP could be restored any day as Mayawati enjoys relation of brother with many BJP leaders’’ SP leader also recalled that it was none other than Mayawati who had campaigned in Gujarat state assembly elections for the than chief minister of the Western state Narendra Modi, soon after the post Godhara riots in that state in 2002’’.

Dismissing the BSP’s allegation on criminals in SP, Rajendra Chowdhary said Mayawati should check the record of her own party and previous government before making such an allegation against the ruling party of the state. He said during the previous BSP government several ministers were arrested on corruption charges and sent to jail while one MlA has been convicted on rape charges.

Meanwhile the Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and the chief minister Akhilesh Yadav have condemned the killing of a girl Tarishi Jain, a native of Ferozabad district in terrorist violence in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
