The BJP accused the Samajwadi Party for misusing government machinery for organising its "Desh bachao, desh bano" rally to be held in Azamgarh on Tuesday.
Senior BJP spokesman, Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here on Monday that it was unfortunate that the ruling Samajwadi Party had transformed UP virtually into a "Danga" riot state. He sought to know how the Akhilesh Yadav Government would be able to save the state when it was discriminating in the distribution of compensation to the riot victims. Moreover he asked why the Government was silent on the injustice being meted out to different sections of society, He questioned, "afterall what is the purpose of taking out a Samajik Nyya Yatra when the Government could not ensure justice to the various members of the society".
Pathak said the SP was so nervous and jittery by the overwhelming success of BJP's prime ministyerial candidate Narendra Modi rallies that the party (SP) was not hesitating in giving directions to Purvanchal officers to ensure success of the ruling party's Azamgarh rally. Several ministers were directing departmental officers to gather resources in order to make the rally a success and bring crowds to the rally site.He went on to say that the ruling SP was talking to "Desh bachao, desh banao" rally where as it was indulging in taking all its decisions on the basis of caste and creed.
