SP govt more dictatorial than British rule: Rampal

PNS

Expelled Samajwadi Party MlA from Sitapur, Rampal Yadav targeted Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav claiming that his security has been withdrawn despite facing threat to his life.

The legislator was recently expelled from the party after he assaulted police and lDA officials, who had gone to demolish an illegal commercial complex owned by him in Jiamau (Hazratganj). A hotel owned by him in Sitapur was also brought down for being illegal.

"My security as an MlA has been withdrawn. There are some forces in this government, who are conspiring against me and I have life threats from them. The SP government is more despotic than the British rule," Yadav said at a press conference in lucknow on Sunday.

The expelled MlA alleged that the demolition was 'not justified' which was done to personally 'damage' him. He alleged that the SP government has unleashed vendetta against him and his family.

However, praising SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, Yadav said that during Mulayam's rule decisions were taken on merit of any issue.

The MlA alleged that 'nepotism' was prevailing in the party and CM Akhilesh Yadav was playing the role of 'Duryodhan' of Mahabharata.

Seeking to know his fault from the party, Yadav said that after being assured by the SP brass, he had fielded his son for the election of District Panchayat Chairman, who won but it did not go down well with  the people who matter.

"After spending 25 years in the party, I have been left nowhere. Now my family will celebrate Diwali  when this SP government is ousted," said the MlA from  Biswan segment of Sitapur.

Earlier in January, Rampal Yadav was suspended from the party for pitting hos son against the official candidate at the poll of Chairman of District Panchyat. Ironically, his son drubbed the official candidate at the polls. However, his suspesnion was later revoked.

Meanwhile, the SP condemned Rampal Yadav's outburts terming it as an act of 'frustration'.

"Those involved in illegal activities will  be booked. CM Yadav never acts to settle scores but those misusing  government machinery for self-gains will not be tolerated," said SP spokesman Rajendra Choudhary.
