SP failed to control crime, alleges state BJP

Alleging that Samajwadi Party Government does not have the will power to control crime, state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said that criminals are calling the shot with the result girls in Bareilly are forced to leave schools.

“There are reports about Bareilly incident where school girls are forced to leave school due to eve-teasing. This shows the real face of the SP Government and exposes its slogan — Kaam Bolta Hai,” BJP state General Secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak said in a statement issued here on Friday.

Pathak said BJP has already announced to set up an anti-Romeo squad in its poll manifesto following which these anti-social elements would either be sent to jail or thrown out of the state.

“I would like to know Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s view on such incidents which contradict his own claim of setting up 1090 women helpline and Dial 100. The rowdy elements are openly harassing the girls,” the BJP leader said.

Pathak condemned Akhilesh Yadav for campaigning for rape accused minister Gyatri Prajapati. “CM says Prajapati as competent while a senior minister Azam Khan claims rape incident is a conspiracy. When two senior leaders of SP are supporting rapists how can girls can feel secure,” he said.

He said daughters of UP need security and respect not Kanya Dhan. Every parent wants the guarantee to women security from government. But this government has failed in this count, he said.
