The ruling Samajwadi Party equating the BJP with the Hyderabad based MIM, has alleged that the unholy nexus of Gujarat and Hyderabad is trying to foment communal violence in UP, ahead of the crucial state assembly elections due in early 2017. SP alleged that both the parties are attempting to jeopardize the secularism by creating communal tension and disrupting the social harmony in the state.

“Its not mere coincidence that both the Guajarati and Hyderabadi (Asaduddin Owaisi and Amit Shah) brothers were in lucknow on same day on Saturday and both the leaders spoke in one voice and spit the venom against the Samajwadi party to the extent possible. Both the MIM are speaking one language and their ultimate design in UP is no longer a secret’’, alleged the Samajwadi Party spokesman and cabinet minister Rajendra Chowdhary here on Sunday.

Countering the charges leveled by BJP president Amit shah against the SP government that it is promoting the interest of one particular caste, SP leader said `` the people of UP have seen the governments of all the parties, the BJP, Congress and BSP and the BJP regime was the worst as it injected the poison of communalism in body politic of the state which shattered its social fabric and the BJP inflicted lasting damage to the state by demolishing the babri mosque’’.

He said the Congress is facing political exile in UP for nearly three decades as it always practiced the politics of status quo  and the hunger, unemployment, disease are the legacy of the long spell of the Congress  rule in UP. He said as far as BSP is concerned less said the better. ``The eccentric behavior of the BSP chief Mayawati and her zeal for looting the state exchequer for personal gains are the hall marks of the four BSP regimes in the state.

Admitting that even after the seven decades of independence the people of the state were still deprived of the basic amenities, SP leader said ``the Samajwadi  Party  government has given a new direction to the movement of social justice to bridge  the serious economic and social imbalances in society’’. He said various welfare schemes and projects launched by the Akhilesh Yadav government have benefited every section of the society and the SP government has restored the dignity of the democracy and institutions.

The SP leader regretted that the Union government and the opposition parties have not cooperated with the state government. ``Despite the hostile   stance of the Union government and the opposition parties the struggle of the Samajwadi Party against the injustice and inequality would continue’’, claimed the spokesman of the Samajwadi Party.
