SP division proves disastrous - Mayawati

PNS

Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) chief Mayawati claimed that the divide in the Samajwadi Party would prove to be disastrous for the party and the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) had already lost the elections due to its anti-people move of demonetisation move which has resulted in exodus of workers.

“Mulayam Singh has insulted his brother Shivpal TO safeguard his son Akhilesh’s political interests. Now both factions of the SP would defeat each other in the elections and hence the minorities should not waste their valuable votes and instead vote for the BSP,” she asserted.

Criticising the BJP for raking up the Kairana exodus issue, the former UP chief minister said that the BJP should first introspect as to who has been responsible for the exodus of workers from different parts of the country post-demonetisation.

“Starvation of workers and their family after the weird move, forced them to return to their native places. The BJP has no moral ground to comment on exodus and should hence desist from it,” Mayawati charged.

Addressing her first poll meeting in communally-charged Muzaffarngar on Friday, the BSP chief said that voting for the SP would directly benefit the BJP.

Hitting out at the BJP, she said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not fulfilled even a single promise made during the 2014 lok Sabha polls despite winning the elctions with full majority.

“The BJP at the Centre has destroyed the people with the demonetisation move. Now there is a concerted effort to end the reservation system,” she said.

“Even if the BSP comes to power, there will be no construction of new memorials or parks as we have completed our agenda. The main focus of the BSP government would be on development,” Mayawati assured.
