SP dismissses BJP's demand

PNS
The ruling Samajwadi Party has dismissed BJP’s demand for the dismissal of the Akhilesh Yadav government as a `political misconduct’. A delegation of BJP leaders led by state chief lakshmi Kant Bajpai had met the Governor on Friday demanding the dismissal of the UP government for its failure to harness the deteriorating law and order situation and other issues. SP spokesman Rajendra Choudhary told the media on Saturday that the rapid progress of the state under CM Akhilesh Yadav has unnerved the BJP and other parties.
``The BJP does not have anything worthwhile to do except indulging in gimmicks like  demonstrations and marching to the Raj Bhawan intermittently to demand the dismissal of the government,’’ said Choudhary.  Taking a dig at the BJP he added that it was laughable that the party which honours elements stoking communal frenzy was talking of deteriorating law and order.
“The BJP neither has faith in democratic values or constructive opposition. It is interested only in rumour mongering and issuing inflammable statements against the CM and his government. The CM has already instructed the police to come down heavily on trouble makers and those posing threat to law and order,” said the SP leader. “The BJP tactics of repeating a lie a thousand times to malign the SP government will not meet the desired result.
The state is well on the path of development under Akhilesh Yadav. Upcoming projects like Agra-lucknow Expressway, lucknow Metro, IT City in lucknow, international cricket stadium etc would change UP’s profile in the coming years,” Chaudhary concluded.
