SP-Congress alliance is alliance between corruption and lawlessness: Maurya

PNS

The Bharatiya Janata Party state president Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the much hyped alliance between Congress and Samajwadi Party for UP assembly polls was an alliance between corruption and lawlessness.

“People have not forgotten the corrupt regime of UPA government with scams in coal and telecom sectors taking the cake. And about Samajwadi Party government no one needs introduction as people know about communal riots, Kairana exodus and increase in cases of land grabbing,” Maurya said in a statement issued here on Sunday.

Reacting to the joint press conference of Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav he said that it was laughable to hear Rahul talking about change with Akhilesh sitting beside him. What change he is asking forIJ, he said.

“Both the shahzadas have failed to convince people about their plans. Akhilesh Yadav says `Kaam bolta hai’. If actually his government had worked at the ground level why he needed support of CongressIJ This simply shows Akhilesh Yadav has failed to deliver,” he said.

BJP general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak too questioned the real motive behind such “unholy” alliance. “This alliance is just to cover up corruption of the previous UPA government and the present SP government in UP,” he said.

Pathak questioned could the Congress  answer that what happened to its slogan of “27 Saal, UP Behal”  and whether during the last 15 years the state was not looted by the ruling governments in the state.

He said just a month back  Congress leaders were raising corruption charges of the Akhilesh Yadav government but suddenly they were all praise for SP. “This is a double face of the Congress which will be questioned where ever they go,” he said.

“The SP government was forced to go for alliance to confuse the people so that the anti-incumbency factor is lost in such confusion. But people know well about their corrupt practices and who the youths were cheated in the jobs and other area,” he said.

He said that this alliance will doom the future of the state as both the parties have joined hands not to serve the people but to achieve their own vested goal to grab power and  to cover up their corrupt practises in the past.

Throwing question on the SP-Congress alliance Pathak said that the rank and fine in both the parties are against this unethical alliance and even this is being seen in the ticket distribution when in several seats both SP and Congress candidates are contesting against each other.
