The Samajwadi Party celebrated the 46th birthday of its president Akhilesh Yadav in different places in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand on Sunday. The SP leaders organized Puja at Hanuman temple and `Sunder Kand Paath at Hanuman Setu temple here. Akhilesh Yadav is abroad along with the family and is expected to return here on July 4. Several politicians have wished Akhilesh on his birthday including West Bengal chief minister Mamta Banerjee. Rajendra Chowdhary spokesman of the Samajwadi party said here on Sunday that the birthday of SP president was celebrated across the state without any extravaganza. He said on the occasion `havan, Poojan’ were held at several places. Fruits were distributed to the patients in several hospital and ‘Bhandara’ was organized to serve food to the poor. He said the youth of the party are filled with enthusiasm for celebrating the birthday of the party president. Around 45 youth of the party also donated blood on the occasion. The Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha organized special worship at the Hanuman temple in Hazratganj in lucknow and Bhandara (commujjity feast). Senior SP leader and vice president Kironmay Nanda, state SP president Naresh Uttam, SRS Yadav MlC and other senior leaders attended these programmes. SP also organized the recitation of the `sunder Kand’ of the Ramayana at the Hanuman setu temple opposite the lucknow University. SP MlC Anand Bhaduria organized `havan’ at pilgrim town Namisharnya in Sitapur district which was performed by 51 Brahmins.
