Alleging that the Samajwadi Party Government was befooling the people by distributing laptops instead of solving their grave problems, the state BJP dared it to include the biography and contribution of greats like Manu, Prashuram and Kautilya in the school and college syllabus if it was really concerned about the pride and prestige of Brahmins.
The senior BJP leader and local MP lalji Tandon while addressing a press conference at the state party headquarters on Monday launched a blistering attack on the Congress led UPA Government along with the SP
Government and its predecessor BSP. He said that it was most shameful as never in the history of independence India Budget was passed without a debate and that too after the assurance of leader of Opposition that the BJP was not in favour of pushing the country into any crisis. He said that resignation of Pawan Bansal and Ashwani Kumar was not the end of the road as now Prime Minister has to answer many allegationa and more head will roll in coming days.
Tandon was critical of the ways of the SP Government and said that no development work was taking place." The state is facing unprecedented powewr crisis and farmers were running from post to pillar to get the adequate price of their produce" he said adding that previous BSP Government wasted its five years only on stones and even investment worth Rs 5 did not come to the state. "The entire energy of the SP and the BSP governments have gone into saving their top leaders from the CBI " he said asking the SP to clarify why it failed to mount pressure on the Centre to get its due share of revenue.
The senior BJP leader also lambasted both the SP and the BSP for claiming themselves to be the champions of Brahmins. " Those who have always humiliated Brahmins have suddenly expressing love and affection and this is just beacuse of votes" Tandon said daring the SP Government to include the profile and teachings of the Manu, Prashuram and Kautilya into the syllabus. " I know that SP Government will not do this on the pretext of the issue communal and secularism" he said cautioning that the entire society will have to pay a lot if the appeasement policy of the government continues.
