With an aim to invigorate party workers the Samajwadi Party has appointed Members of Parliament from Rajya Sabha as in-charge of divisions, party spokesman said here on Wednesday.
In a release issued here party spokesman Rajendra Chaudhry said that MPs would educate the party workers about the policies of the Akhilesh Yadav Government. This will help in strengthening the party at the grass root level, he said. The decision has the approval of party’s national president Mulayam Singh Yadav, the party spokesman said.
Chaudhry said Prof Ram Gopal Yadav would be in-charge of Kanpur division, Kiranmoy Nanda of Azamgarh division, Naresh Agarwal of Bareilly division, Jaya Bachchan of Varanasi division, Chandrapal Singh Yadav of Mirzapur-Chitrakoot division, Ravi Prakash Verma of Devipatan/Faizabad Division, Neeraj Shekhar of Meerut division, Chaudhry Munawwar Salim of Aligarh division, Vishambhar Prasad Nishad of Jhansi division, Darshan Singh Yadav of Allahabad division, Kanaklata Singh of lucknow division, Arvind Kumar Singh of Agra division, Alok Kumar Tiwari of Gorakhpur/Basti division, Javed Ali Khan of Saharnpur division and Tanzeem Fatima of Moradabad division.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has asked all the legislators and party office-bearers of districts to co-operate with these in-charge. They have been asked to give their reports about party structure at village level to the national president within a month’s time, the spokesman said
